WORK
All my knives and leatherwork are made by me by hand. I start with raw materials and using traditional blacksmith techniques, I forge each blade to shape individually. I carve and shape the wood for the handles using a modern high tech belt grinder and hand-polish every handle by hand. All my leather sheaths are made from traditonal english vegetable tanned leather and hand-dyed and stitched by myself.

JAMIE MACKIE
As a kid, I was really into bushcraft and the outdoors.
In 2008, I joined an online bushcraft forum that had a knife making section and I was instantly hooked. I built a small wash tub forge using instructions from a DVD by Tim Lively that I ordered from the USA and started forging knives.
After engaging with the knife making community on the forum and posting my pictures of my work, a group of members sent me a huge box of knife making materials from all over the United States.
All these years later, my skills have grown and I have developed my own signature style and aesthetic.
I owe so much to the influence, skill sharing and teaching I've had from great makers such as Owen Bush, Howard Clark, John Cohea and Sam Lurquin, plus many others.
